This series of slides from the now sadly closed (May 1998) Appalachian Cultural Museum at Berea College was produced as a student project. It illustrates traditonal Appalachian crafts such as the making of wooden toys, wittling (carving), and limberjacks. These must have been witnessed by Cecil Sharp during his collecting days in the Appalachians. Click on
